This’ll probably be a simul-post, but a lot of us have blue blood. Or at least it looks blue because of the way the light is filtered by skin that doesn’t have a lot of pigment. Do you mean blue when it comes out? ---

## Many arthropods and mollusks carry oxygen in their blood stream by means of a dissolved substance called hemocyanin which is blue. At least it is blue when it is oxygenated, but colorless after the oxygen is released. Hemocyanin is much like hemoglobin except that the iron atom in the protein molecule is replaced by one of copper. The lobster, crabs, crayfish, scorpions, horseshoe crabs, octopodes, squids, clams and mussels all have this blue blood. when we look at our wrists it appears as though our blood may be blue, this is because of the lack of oxygen in it. once it’s pumped to the lungs and oxygenated it brightens up and loses that dark appearance. then as the blood moves throughout the body, it loses it’s oxygen and turns that same dark colour again. sometimes when a person with a breathing problem has blood taken from an artery it will come out nearly black as opposed to a bright red as it should be. * * * “human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust; we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper.” - albert einstein ---
