Go to the thread below, posts 2, 10, 30, 32, 39, and 78 are particularly helpful.
Not going to retype it out, but effectively:
- Plans vary by county. Go to Medicare.gov, enter your zip code, select for the county, and then review plans.
- As a general rule, a Medicare Supplement (MS) plan + a Part D prescription plan is better financially than a Medicare Advantage (MA) plan (which usually has a Part D attached to it).
- You will pay that Part B premium for the rest of your life. Just accept it.
- If you have creditable employer coverage, and it’s subsidized, keep it as long as you can.
