I’ve lurked around **SDMB** for about a month before joining a little over a week ago. At the time, I wasn’t sure whether it was proper etiquette to introduce myself or whether it was better to slink in under the radar like a nervous frosh going to her first co-ed house party. I opted for the latter. But then I read Cahspeede’s thread and thought, “Yeah. I’d like me one of those formal introductions too.” I’m twenty-one, female, Chinese-American. I go to college in the northeast and my parents’ live in the Bay Area. Hello. It’s a pleasure to be here. Anyway, carry on - pay no attention to that unkempt person trying to take a bath in the fountain of your hotel lobby. She is witless, but benign. ---

I never felt it was necessary to start an introductory thread. I preferred to think of myself as covertly infiltrating the place. I am confused. Does the goat get paraded out for just new males or for everyone? That damned billy changed my life for good (as well as other parts of my anatomy). ---
