A thread over in GQ sparked my memory of a movie where the cops raided the wrong house - the house was on a street instead of an avenue, or the number was 1334 instead of 1344, or something like that. The cops tore up the house, half-drowned the father (in the toilet, IIRC), and found his daughter’s insulin syringes which they considered proof-positive that it was the right place. I _think_ someone in the family ended up dead during the raid. That’s all I remember.

Any ideas?

Is it [_Nightmare at 43 Hillcrest_](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071912/combined), made for TV in 1974?

Could be [An innocent Man](http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0097579/) starring Tom Selleck.
