This time, some jerkwad decided it would be fun to joyride all over The Racetrack in Death Valley, leaving 10 miles worth of tire tracks. Okay, I’m thinking outside the box here. These guys are jerks and they deserve some severe punishment. But beatings and imprisonment seem a little misdirected. However, they vandalized a national treasure. They committed a crime against the American people. So how about we establish a special punitive federal income tax rate. People who are accused of vandalizing national parks or monuments will be arrested and tried. And if they’re convicted, they have a pay a ten percent higher tax rate for the rest of their life. ---

I suggested this in one of the other threads…I think an appropriate punishment (over and above a hefty fine) would be a mandatory stint at the Park’s visitor center and/or campfire program requiring a confession and apology to park visitors. ---

Park vandals should have to paint **manson1972** ’s house. Not “repaint it whatever color he wants it to be”–they should have to spend a few weekends painting his house in a variety of random colors–a daub of eggshell here, some shocking pink there, a little lime green over on that part. (No spray paint, though–that would be too easy. Paintbrushes only. _Small_ paintbrushes.) While they’re at it, they should have to do his car, too. ---

I like China’s policy on stunts like this: it goes on your credit report, even if you pull the stunt outside of China. You also get banned from traveling outside the country. ---
