My wife and I seem to recall partner figure skating in past Olympics. Has that “ice dancing” crap taken its place? - Jinx

There is pairs figure skating. That’s been around for a long time.

Ice dancing is different than pairs.

The pairs competition was in the first few days of the Games. Tatyana Totmiyanina and Maxim Marinin won the gold.
