The Wikipedia article on white sugar says that beet sugar has never been purified using bone char, and only some cane sugar is purified that way. ---

Yeah, the opening paragraph there is misleading; the refining of beet sugar is mentioned in more detail later. And some vegans avoid sugar entirely just to be sure. ---

There is no orthodoxy so orthodox that somebody else can’t out-orthodox it. I’m glad it makes them happy. Sounds like hard work though. ---
