Expect “issues” in the Senate with letting even one Democratic-leaning new state into the union, much less two. Hawaii had to wait for decades before Alaska grew up enough to be a counterbalance. ---

Neither of the major national parties seems to have much presence in PR. **Would** it be “Democratic-leaning” as a state? ---
