Turkey and swiss on toast. meh. I’m no longer hungry, so there’s that. \*\*FCD \*\*isn’t going into work tomorrow - he’s going to be building a countertop in the basement. Apparently they can’t find anyone to do it right away, so he’s going to do it. On the plus side - he can sleep in, and theoretically, so can I. We shall see how that goes. ---

I went to get my meds and they weren’t ready because of the mix up from before. The filled the script for 2 pills a day, I need the one for 4 pills a day. Actually I’d like to have them both filled because when I get stressed I like to take 6 pills a day. This should be the last script, I get gutted like a fish on June 3rd. I’m going to ask the doc if he can scoop out a little fat while he is in there. My pre-op testing info came today, that is on May 4. I didn’t know it could be done that far in advance. When I had my tonsils out I went for pre-op testing one day too soon and had to go back and I think it had to be done within 10 days. So back out for meds tomorrow, A slight annoyance today, although it probably shouldn’t matter. When I left to go out there was a truck parked on my parking pad out back. Looks like somebody across the alley is getting a new roof and I guess the trucks have to park somewhere. It just seems to me that if you are going to park on my property you should ask me first. ---

Howdy **Former Spaz**! So in today’s\* “what the everloving fuck was that?!?!”\* file my regular reporter & I were camped out at a local courthouse reporting on the sentencing of the [Beer Pong Rapist](http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/local/gaithersburg%20/2015/04/15/beer-pong-rapist-to-be-sentenced/25807795/) when we had a hell of an encounter. After our 5pm report we were in my work car editing when a young man approached the passenger side window and motioned to ask a question. I’m not a fan of speaking across my reporter (who is rendered vulnerable when the window is opened) but I cracked it an inch and asked what he needed. The guy stammered and acted upset as he approached the window and my alarm bells went off fully. I quickly shut the window and motioned him away yelling “we’re busy!” and broke off eye contact. He circled around the front of the car for a few seconds in what could best be described as ‘getting his nerve up’ when I suddenly realized he was cradling what looked like a big container of pepper spray in his right hand. I yelled an alert loud so the gut could hear I spotted it, tossed my phone to my reporter then exited the vehicle to move the guy away from my reporter (who was effectively trapped in place by this guy). I had a small container of pepper spray handy myself and as I was screaming at him (attracting attention in front of the circuit court) he bolted, running up the street. I had about 80 pounds on him so if I had caught him he would have lost, pepper spray or no. Unfortunately no police or sheriffs were within earshot and he got away. After awhile we calmed down and managed to get our 6pm live shot off then got out of there. Live tv attracts the crazies. I’ve been assaulted, had a knife pulled on me - you name it. But this was very much a first for me. I’m pretty sure the guy was going to spray us through the window and run. Fucker. I’m still pissed. ---

Actually, the story you were covering pisses me off. Had the victims been female, I doubt the sentence would have been as severe. And it’s that inequity that angers me. And had the attacks happened on a college campus, or in a frat house, I doubt you would even have been sent to cover it. GRRRRR. Sorry. The way the male dominated system handles these things is disgusting. ---
