Back from breakfast and a dog kibble/cat litter run. The first of 4 loads of laundry is in the washer. Somewhere along the line, I’ll attack our taxes. And it’s sunny, which is a nice change. Yay! ---

Afternoon all! I am going for my Adulting badge today; so far I’ve gone to the library to return a book **before** it got overdue, ordered Euros for my holiday, got half my packing sorted for said holiday done, been to Ikea, booked a table at my favourite local restaurant for my burfdy (which is a few days after I get back from holiday), done the washing, and am about halfway through tidying my room. The room’s a bit of a big job, and I’ve kicked up so much dust that I need to take a break until I stop sneezing. Hopefully I should also get the car cleaned out and finish making pizza from scratch for dindin (made the dough yesterday). Then I shall feel all smug and like a proper growed up. ---

**Blurf**. I survived, just barely, my mishap. Still sore from it all. Moral of the story is do not lean over the edge of the bed too far while reaching for the lamp to turn it off. When I was sick with the flu a few weeks ago hubby put both night stands on my side of the bed so I would have room for all my sick products like boxes of tissues, pills, bottle of cough syrup, remotes and all the other stuff so I could reach it. The lamp was on the stand furthest from the bed. Instead of sitting up to turn off the lamp I reached while still lying and fell off the bed. Really hurt myself too. We are having our house tented for termites on the ninth. We do it about every 5 years and boy what a job that is. All opened food must be removed from the house or put into special bags. Also medications. And even though it is not “necessary” according to the bug ppl I will also take out all soap, shampoo, cosmetics etc. We don’t have any house plants. The tent will be placed on the morning of the 9th for 24 hours. We have a friend who is out of town so we will stay at his place. The tent is removed after the 24 hours then the house must air out another 24 hours. Then once we are back in the house we can eat off our dishes and cook in our pots and pans normally.😕 So they say. I will then spend a week washing all the dishes, pot and pans and linens. Cause I just don’t believe there is no residue. ---

Higgs is back from the groomer all clean and sweet-smelling. Too sweet, actually. The groomer spritzed her with some kind of doggie perfume. It’s persistent. ugh. I just put two punkin pies in the oven. I pulled a hunk o’turkey out of the freezer. We’re going to have pseudo-Thanksgiving for dinner tonight. Sides TBD. Last load of laundry is in the dryer. It’s been a productive day. ---

Happy Saturday! I think I’m up for reals now. I went to bed at 11, woke up at @2 and was up all night. Then when I did fall asleep the dog started with one of his spells again. When I woke up everybody was sleeping, now everybody is awake. The dog is better, the cat is starved for attention, and the kid wants pizza. It’s cold outside, I know having put the dog out multiple times in the morning. I got my mother sloggers for her birthday and they were delivered today. So she called to thank me, and then I got an earful about my niece. Of course when I talk to my niece I get an earful about my mother. She told me some comment my niece made about me, of course coming from my mother you never know if that is true or not, but all it does it make me want to have absolutely nothing to do with any of them anymore. I just smacked the cat in the face with his treat ball. I was getting ready to roll it when he came running for it and bam, poor kitty. Didn’t hurt him none though, he just wants his treats. So today has been a wasted day, but the dog is happy, the cat is happy, and pizza is on its way. ---

**Moooom** , back when we had a basset hound, we’d take him to the groomer’s for a wash and pedi. He’d come out smelling like a French prostitute on dollar day. :dubious: Why, oh, why don’t they leave the fragrance off? I’ve been busy today. I got the bed stripped, the bed linens washed (not folded yet, but hey, that’s a TV time job), ironed and hung the bedroom curtains, went to Lowe’s for patio garden supplies (this year, I’m going to have some $$$ tomatoes 😛 ), rehung the retractable clothesline in the laundry room so that I can actually reach the damn thing, fixed supper and did dishes. I need to clean out the fridge, make a broccoli salad for tomorrow, prep breakfasts/lunches and fold sheets before I chill tonight. OtOH, tomorrow will be pure fun. 😛 ---

**Butters,** be careful and be well. I’ve come close on a couple of occasions to taking a tumble myself for the same reason. Soccer games coached (2-2 tie) and refereed (3 in a row) so sleep is on the schedule shortly. Electric and Water bills paid (or at least the checks are written, they’ll get dropped off tomorrow at the pickup sites) as well as the Mutual fund deposit.
