**BLURF** I did manage to sleep a couple of hours but still am sleep deprived. One of my clerks is out today with a sick child and my office phone is out of order. My computer is trying to not work and I can’t seem to finish anything without interruption. Moanday for sure. I have a Toyota that has been trouble free but it only has 50K so we shall see. I did replace the battery and tires but I think that is normal. I vote Honda. I made a huge pot of veggie beef soup and cornbread yesterday so that will be lunch in a bit. I am still trying to get one cup of coffee in me. Wish people would leave me alone. ---

I didn’t sleep too good last night on accouna my foot hurts where Miss A. stepped on it, and Ursala Kitteh decided in the middle of the night to get on the nightstand and knocked over my full water glass. Swearage occurred at the kitteh. Had my foot x-rayed this morning and nothing is broken. Very deep bone bruising. No riding for 2 weeks. Perhaps I need chocolate tonight to take away the pain. ---

At 3 am, I am usually stripping off a layer of jammies and covers. **Moooom** , I’ve donated to the ACLU since the Bush 43 era as well as attending meetings of Americans United. I participated in the Women’s march in Nashville and Sis was one of the protesters at the airport in Houston yesterday. We’re working in shifts. 😃 **PatPat** , what’s no peek chicken? (at my house, it would be when I called China Star for takeout and just told them chicken of some kind and didn’t look until it was home. 😛 ) **ruble** , you eat buttered noodles the same way my dad does. 😛 Of course, his mother was originally from your neck of the woods. I’m dealing with the usual month end BS today. Tomorrow will be likely crickets, then slammed, then crickets. ---

Blurf indeed. I’m having a bit of a :dubious: Remember, if you can stretch your memories back that far, at the start of the month, when I was complainin’ about doing a 13 day stint at irk with only one day off, due to people being sick or on holiday? Well, I only appear to have been paid for my normal hours, not the extra days. Asked the boss about it today (first time I’ve seen him since payday); in fact he brought it up, asking if I’d got my payslip OK where he left it, and was it all OK. I pointed out that I seemed to have been not paid any extra despite working lots of overtime. ‘Oh, you took extra days off to make up for that didn’t you?’ _blink_ I’m only down for working 4 days a week. If I’d taken an extra 3 days off in either of the following weeks, I’m pretty sure I would have noticed. He says he’s going to ‘look into it’. Watch this space. Hopefully he actually_will_ sort it, I don’t think he would have brought it up if it was a deliberate attempt to underpay me, but his wife does the paperwork… Oh, and he told me today that he’s going on holiday when I get back from Barcelona, so I get to work 10 hour shifts every day while he’s away, opening and closing. Yay. Then as soon as he gets back, the chef is away as well for a week, and because the other waitress (who started a week after me) still can’t run front of house, this means I’ll be working the earlies every day until _he_ gets back. The scheduling does remind me a bit of the classic fox/goose/corn across the river problem… And I know I’m not the only one wondering why we still have a fox. I’m really glad I’ve got this course to get excited about. It does take a lot of the stress out of erratic work situations, not having to worry so much about keeping a job, when I’m planning on moving away in 6 months anyway. ---

Started to get up with Wifey this morning and she said “stretch out and go back to sleep”. Usually when she says that I give her a 10 or 15 minute head start before I get up, but this morning my 10-15 minutes suddenly turned into 1.5 hours. I is well rested. And I remembered the dream I had during that time, but I can’t tell you about it because it featured nudity. I will say, however, that Christine Baranski is quite fetching. 🆒 **MetalMouse** I know nothing about those particular autos, but my understanding is that the Korean cars are usually quite dependable and Hondas have good resale values. I haven’t been all that impressed with Dodge lately. That’s it. Gotta go. Wifey is back from the pool. ---

My version is to take a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of chicken, half a packet of dry onion soup, a can of cold water, teaspoon of worceshire sauce, and a cup of rice. Mix it all together in a greased 13x9 pan and place the chicken on top. I’m using bone in thighs sprinkled with paprika. Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake at 350 for about an hour 15 minutes. Don’t peek, just let it be. The house usually starts to smell quite good. Hope it comes out ok, I’m hungry! ---

Dindin has been ingested. I have a poke roast in the slow cooker that should be done soon. It shall be shredded to make bbq for tomorrow’s dindin. I got me a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for a bbq sammich with coleslaw, accompanied by baked beans and fries and decided to do it at da cave. **Bumba** you had a nekkid dream about Beverly Hofstadter! :eek: Leonard will need therapy for yet more years to come. ---

My new countertop oven is due to be delivered tomorrow. I wish I had had it today - the meatloaf had to go into the microwave to finish cooking. My old oven - bought from a coworker before I retired - is on its last legs. I can’t wait to try out the new one! 😃 Critters’ fountain is finally clean. I should have done it Saturday, and I meant do to it yesterday after I got home from the funeral home. Well, it’s done now. It was icky. Now it’s clean. Yay! Sad lack of ice cream and chocolate in this house. We’re trying to cut back on junkfood eatage. It’s haaaaaaaaarrrrrrd!!! ☹ ---

And I’m here today studiously avoiding my RESA project which is due on February 15. I’m getting kinda worried because I have to do two more assessments on one student and one more assessment on two students and we’re in the season of illness.
