I really wish that for once we could actually have a thread on weird names that did not use the typical urban legends of “La-a” and “Orangello & Lemonjello.” Stop claiming them as real. They never happened. ---

I’ve heard it argued that since Nevaeh is “Heaven backwards,” wouldn’t that be the opposite of Heaven? ---

I think some of the grocery name tags are kids making jokes. I’ve specifically asked, and have been told that whatever goofiness was on the tag was not their real name. ---

My oldest niece has a former classmate whose middle name is Azrael. Naming your child after the angel of death doesn’t exactly let the world know how happy you are to be a parent. ---

I have a cousin twice removed (my first cousin’s granddaughter) named Camden. The story was that her father proposed to her mother while they were watching a ball game at Camden Yards (in Baltimore). But had they ever seen Camden, NJ, they might have had second thoughts. ---
