3 hours irk? Make that 1.5 hours irk. Was so quiet, there was no point in two of us being in and I lost the coin toss. On the plus side, this means tourist season is nearly over! Hoorah! I can go back to the beaches without it being standing room only! Really, the tourist board issued warnings to avoid some beaches due to over crowding. The tourist board. It even looks like the weather may be about to warm back up again… Hope the sleepy pills work **Midget** , failing that, I could come round and go on about bees for hours if you want? ---

It is coming down HARD where I am now. It’s been pouring for about an hour. They actually had a page go over the loudspeaker that part of the parking lot is flooding so people were rushing out to move their cars. It’s supposed to keep raining hard like this for the next few hours. I live at the bottom of a hill where it tends to pond up a bit when it rains hard. I’m hoping I can get into my driveway. I’m just glad that **Romeo** had the day off and is already at home with **Romeo Jr.** so I don’t have to deal with getting him from day care and dealing with him trying to jump in puddles because that’s what Peppa and George do. (My daughter got her little brother into Peppa Pig.) Ah well, the sound of the rain on the roof of the office building is nice. ---

My car is in the hands of Guy Motors for its 150K mile service. We’re having lasagna and garlic bread delivered for supper. I just had quality babby time, and she’s now eating. The day is winding down and it’s mega-hot outside. C’mon fall!!! ---

Howdy Y’all! I laundered, ahrned and then had some quality cee-mint pond time. It has not rained at all today and now TWPTB say tomorrow afternoon and all day Thursday. :dubious: Think I shall accomplish mowage in the mornin’ and go lay in provisions on Thursday. I plan on smokin’ the ribs 'n chikin on Thursday as well. Company is a lot of trouble to get ready for. **Midget** hope the new sleepy med works. **{{{Juliet}}}** glad you’re feelin’ somewhat better today. **CupCakes** have fun! **Spidey** so does everybody at some point or other. You could always put a dot of pizza sauce and a sprinkle of cheese on a slice of pepperoni, that would be just about the same size as a communion wafer… one never gets lonely in the handbasket ---

We got news today that Bruce didn’t survive surgery. ☹ When they post his funeral arrangements, I’ll stop by to pay my respects. He was always a good manager to work with. I finally felt good enough to mop the floors. 🙂 They hadn’t been mopped for three weeks. :eek: Now to text my friend to come over to move the bed back. I can’t do that on a good day. Once that’s done, I can strip it and wash the sheets. ---

**{{red}}** I’m terrified to take the new sleeping pills (they can aggravate a heart condition), so I’ll go back on an old combo of OTC meds and prescribed meds that has worked in the past, and see if I can talk to the pharmacist tomorrow because there’s no chance in hell of me being able to convince the receptionist of seeing my psychiatrist before my next appointment in 2 weeks. No chance in hell? Well, since it’s already hot enough to be Hell, maybe I will try the receptionist tomorrow. ---

I just had some Chinese take-out. My fortune cookie had no fortune inside. I interpret this omen to mean I will die soon and therefore have no future. This is reinforced by the fact that I went to see _Yellow Submarine_ today. It’s the fiftieth anniversary of its original release. And I saw this movie during its original release. I feel old. Getting back to the fortune cookie, I read the wrapper and found out they make chocolate fortune cookies. How come I never heard of this before? I can’t die now; I clearly haven’t lived a full life. ---

Since the chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse is greater for tonight and tomorrow, I shall achieve mowage as I said yestiddy. Thus that is the plan of the day. Might or might not lay in provisions this afternoon. I drove the truck today, which means I had to drive out the side gate, which means I had to open, drive thru, then close the gate… in the dark… it used to be light when I left for work! I also had to stop for gas. Well, I didn’t HAVE to, but it was under a quarter of a tank, and that’s when I usually fill up. The ABS light is on - hope that doesn’t mean an expensive repair. dammit. I’ll ask when I pick up my car this afternoon. Other than that, just another day in paradise. Or hell - another hot one in store. I am so done with summer… Happy Wednesday! ---

Anyone remember how awful my school year was last year? This year really is much better but somehow I ended up getting head butted by a coworker yesterday amongst other things. It’s better than Botox, really! **FCM** , assuming the child doesn’t have special needs, hippie mom is doing her a great disservice. **MetalMouse** , it’s all in the name of potty training! My little girl is 7 years old and was a breeder. She’s a sweet, beautiful girl who is afraid of everything and she thoroughly enjoys peeing in the kitchen. One of my coworkers said that it would have been convenient to chop me up and throw me in the scenic lake! :eek: Anyways, it was nice of you to do that goal clinic for the kids. Sometimes we adults forget how we learned things and that kids don’t always pick things up by osmosis. Ok, off to get ready for another day where our behavior specialist happens to be in and can tell me all the things ‘we could have done better’ during yesterday’s kerfluffle. ---
