I know the nun/soap one only cause I’ve heard it. I can’t say it pissed me off, but it sure did make me roll my eyes. I don’t get the architect one though. ---

I wonder if the inventor of the OP’s joke knew about the etymology of “newt”. It was originally called “Ewt”, but with an indefinite article became “An ewt”, which people transformed into “A newt,” which makes its inclusion in this type of joke all the more funny. To me that is. ---

Change it to: Bob had his maid (in this case, his 'housemaid") backwards, so they could both watch the game. definitions – “had” : screwed, banged, nailed, fuc\*ed, etc. Bob banged his miad backwards, so they could both watch the game. Since many people I know have had sex in only two positions: Screwing from behind, aka ‘backwards’ allows you both to watch the same tv program. Architect: role of this word is to make you picture a house being ‘made’, not someone having their maid doggy style. Boy, these jokes rock when you have to explain them.
