# Another XP

I’ve just upgraded to Windows XP and I have noticed a ‘feature’ that is bugging me. If I open several IE windows it puts one IE windows on the taskbar with a dropdown arrow to pick the one I want to look at. In ME it just left each window seperately on the taskbar, which I much preferred. Is there any way to run this feature off?

Right-click the taskbar, hit **Properties** , and uncheck **Group similar taskbar buttons**.

Actually I like this feature. it took me a bit of getting used to at first, but now that I’m used to it, I find it’s much easier to find things. If I have 10 or 12 IE windows open, under 98, it would squash them all into little boxes so I couldn’t tell what was what. But, YMMV.
