Did they actually shrink a building? Or did they build a doll-sized building and enlarge it? The latter makes more sense. ---

Dollhouses, OTOH, can be fairly sturdy. The building in the movie could have been made of solid plastic - the walls and floors would be a meter thick when enlarged, and naturally it would have no water infrastructure, but it would be able to withstand quite a lot so long as everything inside was bolted down. (Naturally, we’re assuming the inverse square law does not work in the Marvel universe). ---

One way it could work is if most of the building is a facade/empty space with only the couple of rooms that we see being “usable”, ---

Something interesting: I felt the overt comedy in Thor Ragnarok cheapened it and made it feel more flimsy whereas I felt the comedy here strengthened it and made the story better. ---

So, here’s what I’m thinking: In Avengers 2, the “snap” is undone using Quantum Realm shenanigans, and the population of Earth is restored. But some of the people come back… evolved. And that’s how you get X-Men in the MCU. ---

I forgot about that, but ISTM that one of the advantages of a beach house that you can grow and shrink is that you can bring it with you if you need to make a hasty getaway. And the mid-credits scene was definitely on the [roof of a parking garage](https://www.etonline.com/ant-man-and-the-wasp-end-credits-scenes-explained-105202), and Hank even complained he used to work in buildings with his name on them. ---

Right, but perhaps it was all part of the Infinity War so that we’d think, “well, hope’s not gonna get dusted cuz she has to be the wasp,” and then the movie says “psych!” Or maybe I’m overthinking it. ---

This movie was pretty much what I want in a superhero movie. I’m tired of stories in which the entire country or the world or the entire universe is at stake. Give me solid, free standing, intimate stories. And I much prefer the humor in Ant Man over Deadpool. I wanted to murder everyone every time Deadpool made a lame joke. ---
