Thank you, Shag…, The only prob is that there aren’t any meetings in our area. The online thing looks insufficient. I will look further into SOS or RR.
My father went through rehab treatment 3 times. He was depressed about it not working, until I pointed out to him that:
- each rehab seemed to last about twice as long as the previous one before he had to go back for treatment again.
- the total time he had spent in rehabs was far less than the 40 years he had spent being an alcoholic.
Tell him to keep at it. It gets better, and that is all you can really expect. Don’t think this is the kind of disease that can be cured by some sort of a miracle pill.
