She backed Bloomberg to force term limit extensions through the city council. Quinn is the one candidate who has refused to reconsider the very ill-advised marine waste transfer station on the Harlem River. She had a certain inevitability before Weiner just because the rest of the field is just as weak. But outside of Chelsea and the real estate developers, she is by no means popular around here. She is weak and has a lot of blood in the water. ---

And how can I forget, Quinn opposed a bill to let people sue in state court alleging racial profiling by police but, in her generosity, would permit such a bill to go to the floor. Stop and frisk is an 800 pound gorilla of an issue at the moment. ---

The problem with Quinn is that Bloomberg has already served three of his two terms, he doesn’t need a fourth and a fifth. ---

If it weren’t so late in the season, Sydney Leathers would probably be on the ballot. My neighborhood politics are a little more aspirational, so I try to take some comfort in that. ---

Genette Cordova was 21, and even if she had 20 at the time, calling her “underage” is pushing it. ---

I met her several times years ago while she was working for Hillary, well before I knew who she was. She is very formidable, not the kind of person who needs to ride someone else’s coattails. The Clintons were on vacation and I was staying at the same resort. We actually got to talk with them quite a bit, and my dad ended up shooting a few holes with Bill. They are very approachable and are both incredibly funny in person. ---

Keeping up the digression a bit… What do people want of the Humas and Hillaries of the world? Throw all his stuff in the front yard and set it on fire? Call a news conference announcing you’re dumping his sorry ass and calling some celeb lawyer who’ll take him for all he’s worth? Shoot him in the dick? ---
