The dangers, the likelihood of being caught and exposed once again in the media with the consequent implosion of his mayoral campaign, none of this matters. The ruling passion is in absolute command. I do feel sorry for the guy. He could easily end up doing prison time for this. Truly an American Tragedy. ---

(He’s not the only lawmaker caught up in this sort of scandal, which is sort of weird…) ---

There is another legal position probably opening up shortly: Deputy Attorney General, currently held by Rod J. Rosenstein. While he has only been in that position a month, it’s clear Trump will feel he is not up to the job (by making the incredibly stupid mistake of appointing a Special Counsel to investigate the President’s associates). ---

I expect he made a plea deal because he knew he was guilty and how easy it was going to be for the prosecution if he went to trial. It’s not like this case would have been decided over conflicting testimony. The picture is physical evidence and the age of the girl isn’t going to be subject to dispute. ---
