_ducks random feathers and a flying Ronnie_ I’m not real happy this morning… It takes me approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hours to make a batch of cookie dough. We make the dough, scoop it into cookie sized balls and put it in the freezer for later and then just take out as many as we need and bake them fresh. One batch makes about 500 cookies. Lately my father has taken to eaten my raw oatmeal cookies as a midnight snack. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I’ll grab a raw chocolate chip cookie here and there. But I’m eating them at a rate of maybe 5 or 6 cookies out of 500. So far, that I know of, he’s eaten at least 30 oatmeal cookies in the last 2 weeks or so. I don’t want to be stingy, and I don’t mind him eating my other food, but there’s alot of hard work that goes into making those. I’m going to offer to buy him some other snack when he gets out of bed this morning. Oh, and did I mention that he doesn’t really even live here anymore? He’s eat that many cookies it about 2 or 3 days a week that he might spend the night or stop by to take a nap. This may all sound petty, but if you had spent hours scooping out that many cookies, you’d be steamed when you walked in the next morning and saw an empty ziploc on the kitchen counter that was previously full. :dubious: ---

Well, I talked to my dad. He said he just eats them because they are there. So, I don’t think he will eat anymore. However, all of the oatmeal cookies are now gone and all that’s left is chocolate chip. I guess I’ll be making cookies sometime soon. Ugh. ---

Blurf. I may have Teh Sick. I awoke with a sinus drainage related sore throat, and I got nauseous on the drive to work. Drinking come WTHU has helped the ucky gut sensation, but not completely. I await the coming of a fever, the irresistable desire to wallow in the mud, or both. ---

Missing cookies suck, **Pie**. But at least you know your dad appreciates your cooking! I keep biting my tongue as I’m falling asleep at night which jars me awake and makes it harder to fall back to sleep. As well as hurting. Make it stop! The tarragon ( **NOTarra** ) cream chicken and polenta pot pie was really good. It took a bit of work and time management (aka ingredient juggling), but it was definitely worth it. I will be keeping the recipe around and making it again, possibly “as a we’re having company what can I make that’s different and tasty” recipe. Off to do forecast work. Wish me luck! ---

Achoo!!! What’s with all the feathers in here?? Congrats to **bobbio, FCDad, and wally**! Glad the extremities are better **muppet and rosie**. We had some wild weather here last night. A tornado ripped the metal roof off a 100-ft warehouse and tipped over some moving vans. Good thing the shuttle took off about an hour before. Couldn’t see very much from the house because the sky was pretty hazy/cloudy. I cannot brag about my boss. I was going to whine but it even sounds pathetic to me. ☹ Tupug ---

I made pancakes for breakfast this morning, but they came out really dry. I might take the rest of the batter, spread it out on a cookie sheet, and bake some roofing tiles. I finally got my uniform for work last night. Kitchen Guy told me I looked like a Smurf. 😛 Somehow TPTB got the idea that I can train the other new lady on the ins-and-outs of second shift, which I can, so it’s all good. Now it’s time to type my abstract and send it off. **rosie’s** sig to all! I’m working with the cute guy again tomorrow. It’s stupid how much I’m looking forward to this. Bad Spaz. ---

Home early, waiting for the dryer guy, since \*\*FCD \*\*got all involved in fixing the fuel leak on the boat. But I needed to escape the office anyway. I had a 2.5 hour meeting this morning that was a total waste of my time. Nothng that was discussed had anything to do with me, even tho I’m on the team. We’ve had this project for over a month, and the due date is about 4 weeks from now - and we STILL don’t have a defined goal!! :eek: Plus one guy is pretty much taking over from the project lead. ugh. I had a horrible night - I dozed briefly between 9:30 and 10, then woke up and could NOT fall back to sleep. I might have gotten 5 hours of sleep. Maybe. I feel like crap. One more day. I think I may survive. ---

grumblegrumblegrumblegrumble Today was a most frustrating day, complete with appearances by the That’s Not My Job Guy and his sidekicks, Deliberately Misunderstand The Request Guy and Never Provide Direct Answers Girl, all appearing in the longest half-hour conference call EVER (mostly because that call actually lasted a whopping 3 hours by the time we wrapped up). I think I’m gonna go drink a beer (or two) and rip out some weeds as a therapeutic measure. _waits for someone to offer to kiss **taxi** ’s boo-boo better_ 😃 ---

No wonder I’m all sneezy! It’s all the feathers everyone’s tossing around! Hope all the owies are better and all the grumpies are gone. Home from work, but still have a bunch of stuff to wrap up. I’ll do it between other stuff and have it done by Saturday morning. I still have a bunch of stuff to get done at home, not the least of which is uploading a bunch of pics to get printed.
