Since I didn’t say “pro-choice”…

The point was that “pro-lfe murderers” always comes in these discussions as it they were a common experience with 100 abortion providers being killed every year. The (horribly high because it’s not zero) numbrer is less than ten since Roe. I’m sure there have been more people killed in rock-paper-scissors compettitions and nobody says “fear the rochambo killers”. For such an important subject so heatedly discussed it’s astonishing that so few\* have died.

Randy Alcorn answers for Randy Alcorn. (That phrase, if true and not out of context is wrong BTW)

Can I get a quote for “temporary minor convenience”? Or at least for “temporary minor **in** convenience”?
Basically every pro-life person I come across would gladly accept any procedure that would end the pregnancy whilst not kiling the baby.

> My abortions were… experiences, at best. Not children. The first one royally sucked ass because I was 16 and in the south, so I had to travel out of state to have it done. Scary!! The second one was nothing at all. Pee on the stick, see the line. Call the clinic, go in a day or so later, take a couple pills, go home. If that counts as a child to you, you’re delusional.
>
> My children, however… the planning and hoping, and then the joy when I found out I was pregnant! Then nine whole months of hope and pain and doctor’s visits and setting up the nursery. Finally going into labor, and going through hours of contractions and nausea, so that I could finally hold my baby in my arms. But that was only the beginning! All the sleepless nights, the worry, the happiness, the laughter. Reading to them, teaching them their letters and numbers, teaching them manners. Watching them cry and feeling hopeless. Seeing them cry and having a magic kiss that takes the tears away. Finally watching them toddle into the school building, looking so _tiny_ and vulnerable, and trying to smile till they can’t see you anymore, and then breaking down sobbing on the sidewalk because my babies were growing up. Punishing them when they do wrong, praising them when they do right. making breakfast, packing lunches, cooking dinner. The day in and day out of parenthood, for the last _thirteen years_. And knowing it will never ever stop, that no matter how big they get they will always be my children, my babies.
>
> THAT is a child. _That_ is parenthood. For you to compare all that to a little clump of cells I dealt with in a doctor visit is just fucked up.
>
> One of us holds children in contempt. One of us values life, and understands the importance of valuing kids. But it isn’t you.

Devaluing human life because it doesn’t look like you want it. It’s an esthetic value, I see; not science.

Please, leave your “I’m-such-a-good-mum-I-deserve-a-Hallmark-card” shtick for someone else. It’s startng to sound as if you’re feeling sorry about something and are trying to (over)compensate.

As I said on a previous thread: totally agree if it’s given to adults, despite my moral issues with artifical cotraception: abortion trumps them all.

Defining “adult” as “anyone old enough to get pregnant,” I hope.

Legal adulthood. With minors I’d love parental permission or at the very least much greater care with hormones given to 12 y/o girls.

No.
There’s a huge difference; scientifically as well as every other way, between a [five week old fetus](http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/medical/IM04050) and a [child](https://www.google.com/search?q=child&client=ubuntu&hs=YuO&channel=fs&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=w_X6UYm8AoW-9QTK-oD4Cw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1280&bih=814). All sane people know this. If you truthfully cannot distinguish between these two things, you have mental issues. But of course, I know you can tell the difference. You’re just lying, as usual.

Ok, do you even _have_ kids? I mean real ones, not cell blobs in a jar or something. Between this and your last comment, I have to kinda doubt it. Nothing I posted was Hallmark card shtick, it’s just basic parenting stuff.

And I don’t have anything to feel sorry for. I know this must be hard for you to understand, but I didn’t do anything wrong. When I was 16 and had an abortion, that was the best, most moral choice at the time. Had I brought that pregnancy to term, I probably would never have finished school, or been able to have my two actual kids. My life, and that non-existent kid’s life, would have been shit. Because of my abortion I was a better happier person, and consequently a better mother.

When I had my second abortion at 30, it was mainly in service of my (actual born) children. I couldn’t afford another baby and still maintain their lifestyle and happiness. I would rather have a good college fund for my kids. That’s good parenting. Spitting out an endless number of babies in service of your ignorant agenda would be bad for my kids.

Funny how you decided it was a he.

Anyway, wrong again. A baby is defined as: A very young child, esp. one newly or recently born.

So no, not a baby. A _fetus_. Just as an acorn is not a tree, a fetus is not a baby, and is most certainly not a child.

It’s neither. You and/or your religious beliefs have decided that it is a human at conception. Great, no one cares UNTIL you try to force your beliefs off on other people.

You can interpret the science any way you want, the bottom line is that the only reason you think having an abortion is the same thing as killing a human being is because of a decision _you_ made. Not scientists, not any god - you.

And you do not have the right to tell other people what to do.

Sure, killing one kid gets more food for the others, the ancient Romans did that too by putting them at the door.

Opposition to abortion is usually (but not necessarily) religious, and when combined with your apparent attitudes about contraception, it seems like a fair assumption on curlcoat’s part.

Now, a human fetus is still a fetus, not an autonomous entity (“human being”). As curlcoat mentioned, referring to acorns, they may be nuts of oak trees (and no other plant), but they are not trees.

Whether or not you do it all the time is immaterial - you do not have the right to interfere in the lives of others, particularly in something that private and that important. And if you are male, it’s none of your business at all.

It wasn’t a “fair assumprion”. It was a sad try to score points by invoking the reiligion bogeyman.

Fetuses are autonomous, their development is self -regulated.

Yeah, I do. I (and you) support all sorts rules that tell others what (not) to do all the time.
When you kill someone else it stops being private.

I never apologized for anything in this thread. You are a liar.

Ok, you’re either a complete moron, a crazy person, or a liar. Actually, you’re probably all three. So, you know, kudos on that I guess. You hit the trifecta.

I **do** kinda doubt it. But If you have kids, and that description of parenthood seems like something only the Mother of the Year could write, I feel really really sorry for your kids. You are a terrible parent.

Damn but you’re dumb. _There was no kid_, you fucking fart balloon.

I’m not justifying anything to you. I don’t particularly give a shit what you think. I enjoy calling you names on the computer and pointing out what a piece of shit liar you are.

As human as the tonsils I had removed, and just as sentient. But I’m glad you’ve “granted me” scientific fact.
