Antigen, you did it, now fix it!

My “rid myself of the earworm” songs are “And I’m Telling You” and “The First Noel”. I have no idea why.

Heh, how bizarre.

How bizarre, how bizarre.

Earworms used to be a problem for me, until I figured out that you find a song you love, then substitute that when the earworm pops up. My substitute used to be “The Little Old Lady (from Pasadena)” ("go, granny–go, granny–go, granny,go!). Currently, it’s Chuck Berry’s “My Dingaling.” Being female, I can’t walk through a store singing to myself, “..won’t you play with my dingaling?” I get looks…

Yeah, but do you get chasers!?

She drives me crazy (ooh! ooh!)
Like no one else (ooh! ooh!)
She drives me crazy! (ooh! ooh!)
And I can’t help myself

I’ll leave you guys with this and wait to be Pitted.

I have the LP. I have threatened to use it.

Sadly, when I went to Disneyland last Christmas, they had changed the music. It sang it a few times through then started alternating it with random Christmas songs. You just didn’t get the same trance-like state that way. And there were Christmas Decorations all over.

I’m hoping what they did to the Haunted Mansion was just for the holidays. It had been changed it to the Nightmare Before Christmas. It just wasn’t the same. At all. Not even a little scary.

HA! Doesn’t work on me. I like that song. Furthermore, I have it on my iPod, so even if it did I could get rid of it by listening to it and then moving on to other tunes.

I do not, however, have Bobby McFerrin on my iPod. Furthermore, it’s still stuck in my damn head. And it’s my own damn fault.

Bugger.

Where I work, all the dealers pretty much walk in together. We are in hideous uniforms. Invariably, I get “When the saints, oh when the saints, oh when the saints go marching in…” locked in my head the whole shift.

Man, the Berrymans have a song for EVERYTHING!

Track 10, “Insomnia” (listen at your own risk!)

(not an automatic stream; you have to click a link on that page)

Ha! I got rid of Bobby. Unfortunately, I did it with Chumbawamba.

I get knocked down, but I get up again
You’re never gonna keep me down…

Blast!

Wow, I really need to do vanity searches more often.

You’re welcome in advance for putting the songs back in your heads.

Oh, and LOUNE, I hadn’t even thought of that one. I’ll now be going "Hey Trichy! clap clap, clap clap Hey Hey Trichy! clap clap, clap clap. I’ll have to make up some new lyrics I can use for the next time the lab does karaoke.

Ha. I own you all.

Was anyone in here ever a fan of “Courage the Cowardly Dog”? If so, and you’re familiar with the Doc Gerbil episode, you know why I never ever fear “It’s A Small World” getting stuck in my head. Hee…found a sound clip.

My wife actually has that as her ring tone. :stuck_out_tongue:
