# Antique Furniture- Numbers Impressed on Handles

I have a Victorian winged duchess- around 1900. Mahogany if that makes a difference. The metal handles all have a number impressed on the reverse- a different one for each handle.

Is this meaningful at all? Does it indicate a specific manufacturer or whatever?
