I’ve speculated, without much basis, how the two branches are related (positing that someone on the floating branch is a sibling of someone on my tree, but only because they share a similar last name and a decade of birth) just for the sake of convenience.
Now I’ve got a new problem–when I pulled up my family tree, I got only me and my immediate line (parents and grandparents) rather than all 250+ relatives. Everything I’ve tried just gives me different configurations of this very limited set. Where did all my in-laws’ cousins’ in-laws go, and how do I get them back?
Did you switch it to pedigree view? Top left corner, symbols for generations going left-right or up-down. The left-right view shows only your pedigree, the up-down shows family.
Now it switches when I click that icon. For hours last night I kept clicking it and nothing changed. Thanks.
