Any authors just abandon a successful series right in the middle?

But IIRC he has since said that when he sat down to write it, he realized that he had already said everything he had to say about the characters and situation and whatnot, so he decided The Ghost Ships (I think that’s what it was supposed to be called) could never be.

Ah - sorry to hear it, thanx for the update.

Kate Elliott will be going back to the Jaran books, she has to finish the current series she has going. The new Myth books that are coming out are by Robert Asprin and Jody Lynn Nye. Not the same as the first few, but still pretty good. I think Asprin is having some real input in the work. Unfortunately, the Phule books are almost all done by Peter Heck. I like Peter, and his Mark Twain mysteries are wonderful, but the changes he has made in the Phule universe just aren’t working very well. :frowning:

While Diane Duane has not finished the Door series, at least she is writing the Young Wizards books again!
