_Dark Shadows_ was on & off the air before I was born, but they show it now on the SciFi Channel. I have become a junkie for this show. I asked my mom if she’d ever watched it, and she said “Oh yeah. Oooooooh yeah. Loved it! It’s on again? What station? Thanks! See ya! Gotta go set the VCR!” As I watch the cheesy special effects and the weird story lines, I understand why this show is like the _Plan 9_ of soaps. I think that’s why I love it so much. I haven’t watched it in a while. I just started watching it again about 2 weeks ago, just as one story line was closing and a new one is picking up. But I’ve watched it off & on for several years, and every time I watch, I get more hooked than I ever did when I watched _General Hospital._ Anyone else out there as addicted to this show as I am? Gotta go–it’s on in a few minutes, and I’m just _dying_ to know just who this Jason guy is, and what happened between him & Elizabeth eighteen years ago… ---

I was a junkie for this show when I was in elementary school. Rushed home from school, which let out at 3 p.m., which was the same time the show started, IIRC. Don’t remember a damn thing about it, except for the aforementioned Barnabus Collins. I haven’t given it much of a chance since it’s returned on Sci-Fi. ---

I wonder if Sci-Fi and Odyssey channels are owned by the same parent company? I was just watching tv and flipping through the channels and saw that Dark Shadows was on Odyssey. I was going to look it up to see if it was on daily or weekly. I’ve never seen the show but have always heard soap fans talking about it. ---

I know it’s on the “oldies” channel, I’ve seen it. I used to rush home when I was in junior high to watch it. It came on about 3:00 or so in the afternoon. It was extremely popular at the time. I was fan. Need2know ---

I used to watch it and Star Trek with my grandma when I was a little girl. I liked it then and I watch it some now. I loved the remake with Ben Cross as Barnabas Collins. He was incredible! 😃 ---

I got hooked on it one boring summer but I don’t watch it anymore…I do like the historical episodes though, since I love the Victorian gothic costumes. But it was always so confusing…like why do they go back and forth in time? And what was the deal with the one room that was a different time, and they all of a sudden switched to it? ---

SmoothOperator: It’s on at 11:30pm EST, Monday-Friday. I am actually _jonesing_ for this show right now! I can’t wait to watch it! The story lines that’s going on right now doesn’t have anything to do with Barnabas. I’m wondering if Barnabas is gone. As I said earlier, I just started watching it again a couple of weeks ago. Old Dark Shadows fans help me out here–did Barnabas leave the show at some point? Did he get killed off or what? I don’t remember! AAAGH! ---

Ooh! Thanks, carnivorousplant! I went to that site, and from there I learned that from what I’ve been watching the last two weeks, Barnabas hasn’t shown up yet! The tail end of the story line I caught last week was the Phoenix one. Yay! I haven’t missed Barnabas! Yaaaaaay!
