# Any Dopers in Omaha, Denver, Deadwood, or Sioux Falls interested in meeting/dinner or drinks?

I’m taking a long road trip next week.

Sunday evening, driving into Omaha  
Monday evening, into Denver and staying until Thursday morning.  
Thursday evening arriving in Deadwood.  
Friday evening arriving in Sioux Falls.

Just wanted to check and see if anyone’s interested in saying hello and having a beer or a burger with a Madison Doper. I’ll be in touch while on the road.

Do you have your exact itinerary? It’s possible someone might want to meet for lunch in Iowa City, for example or various other places on the road.

If I still lived in Sioux Falls I would be happy to meet you for a beer in Falls Park\*, except you can’t drink a beer there (or on any park property within 500 feet of the Big Sioux River). You can get a beer at the nearby Falls Cafe, but no burger (they do offer frozen grapes and asparagus pillows).

\*well worth a visit while you’re in town. I’ve been there. Did you know that an average of 7,400 gallons of water drop 100 feet over the course of the Falls each second? It’s pretty thrilling.

Can’t really be more specific. There are 4-6 touristy spots along each leg of the trip. I might spend 5 minutes at one or 3 hours at another, based on mood and interest.

And yes, Falls Park is on my list of places to check out.
