A friend told me about this series today. [Warehouse 13 (TV Series 2009–2014) - IMDb](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1132290/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1)
I can’t believe I’ve never even heard of it. Sounds like a cross between Doctor Who and Quantum Leap with maybe a dash of X-Files. Any fans?

What happened to that Web site where every time you clicked you got something very, very interesting? Was it [warehouse13.com](http://warehouse13.com)? Seems like a premise for the show, but I can’t find the page anymore.

You’re probably thinking of [http://www.warehouse23.com/](http://www.warehouse23.com/)
but that’s associated with Steve Jackson Games, not the TV show, though the TV show did have some webisodes, I think.

That’s what I thought it was too, but the site is web store, not a text-based list of what you find in the next box. Any idea if they bought it out and replaced the page with their own? Any links on the page back to what I’m thinking of?

Good news! It’s canceled!

IIRC, that used to be it’s front page, or something. No idea if it still exists somewhere.
Now, if you click on the logo at the top of the page, the quote underneath will change: \*\*
“Contents may settle during shipping. Opening the box will wake them up.”
“Keep all products out of the reach of Children. They’ll win.” \*\*
etc. which seems similar.

I tried. While not as bad as Alphas, I still didn’t like it. The male lead (the “intuitive free spirit” one) was annoying as heck, but I was still 50/50 on it. Then they added the hacker chick and I was out.

I enjoy it. It’s purely for fun, more comedy and fantasy than SF. It has a lot of potential, with the infinite number of artifacts to play with, but they made the mistake of exploring personal angles too much. I’m glad they’ll have extra episodes for wrapping up the series.

“Hacker chick” is as unrealistic as every “hacker” is on TV and in the movies, but the actress, Allison Scagliotti , is enjoyable in the role, and cute as hell.
It’s not perfect, but I liked many aspects: Saul Rubinek is great as Artie the curmudgeon, I like Joanne “Mika” Kelly. Eddie McClintock’s “Pete” was too much a man-child, but Jinx grew on me pretty fast, and Jaime Murray’s “HG Wells” had GREAT chemistry with Joanne Kelly.

Claudia is one of my favorite things in the show. I forgot she was a hacker when she entered the show, to be honest.
I’d rank the characters like this:
1. Claudia
2. Pete
3. Artie
4. Jinks
5. Myka - she’s fine but not really memorable
6. Astrid - yes, I call her Astrid like the girl on Fringe. The aide that helps out. 🙂
I don’t count HG. She was a side person.

When good series go astray it’s often for this reason. It’s okay to know a LITTLE background just so the characters aren’t two-dimensional, but the main focus should be each week’s story/drama.

It had nothing to do with how they portrayed hackers - I know nothing about them -there was a hint of cynical, corporate-ordered geek-bait to her character, like someone told the producers “add a character for the nerds to fawn over.” And like all bait, sure, it looks good but it’s out of place (hey, who dropped a bag of grain here in the woods near the deer blind?).

I’m a Warehouse 13 fan! And I was a fan of [http://www.warehouse23.com/basement](http://www.warehouse23.com/basement) (which was the URL to the W23 Basement, when it functioned).
