Any fishkeepers on the dope?

I’ve been keeping fish for about 10 years. I have a 35 gallon and a 55 gallon hex. I started with the 35, added a bunch of fish over the years, but eventually the pair of wee, little featherfin synodotus that I bought got big enough (7-8 inches) that there’s not a lot of room for bigger fish and anything small just seems to disappear. They have some rosy minnows for company, which are cheap enough that I can cope with the losses if I have to add more. Enough survive to keep the tank from looking too empty.

The hex tank I bought because I ‘won’ a blood parrot cichlid in a guess the fish contest, and needed something big enough to house him. He shares the tank with some Raphael cats, the striped Raffi cat I see sometimes, but it was only because I moved and had to empty the tank that I realized I still had two spotted Raffi cats. They are pretty, but I call them my invisible fish because I never see them. The move resulted in a few losses from that tank, so there’s a few newer barbs, which seem to be multiplying slowly, some snakeskin barbs, which I wish would breed because I like the look of them, and some zebra danios.

There’s also a 70 gallon stock tank outside that is my goldfish pond. Nothing expensive, just feeder fish, but I ended up with some colourful ones, so a nice mix of plain and fancy goldfish.

Say What, now?
