Has anyone had problems with messages not getting through to your Gmail account? I don’t have any specific proof, but there are a few people whom I’ve written to recently, and haven’t replied for longer than I expected. One person wrote to me saying “I wrote to you last week but it didn’t get through” - I replied to get more detail (e.g. how he knows it didn’t get through) but - you guessed it - he hasn’t replied to that. Yes, I’ve checked the spam folder, it’s not there. It could just be timing, but I’m starting to get slightly paranoid. ---

Are you sure the problem is on your end? Are the senders using Hotmail perhaps? They have been having issues lately. ---

I second the hotmail issue. Hotmail doesn’t seem to like gmail accounts. ---

I have heard stories of some people not being entirely happy with Gmail, but apart from the very occasional error message (which resolves itself with a refresh), I’ve encountered no problems. Lost no emails that I know about. ---

I’ve had no problems at all with gmail, but I’ll third the Hotmail issues. I still have a Hotmail account that I write to my parents with, and often I’ll write to them two or three times in a week, wonder why they haven’t written, and get an e-mail from them asking me if everything’s okay, since they haven’t heard from me in a week or so. It happens at least once a month for me, and has been happening to me with Hotmail only for _several years_. It wasn’t always this frequent, but it did happen. Check if your contacts are using Hotmail. ---

No GMail problems to report here either. Reallly I had rather expected a few probs, it being still in beta, but it is fine. Now, Hotmail, on the other hand, believes in its very own circle of hell. It \*used" to work, but for months now, it is jsut not worth the hassle. ---

I use Gmail back & forth throughout the day with my GF who also uses Gmail. Occasionally an E-mail will arrive a few hours later than it was sent, but that seems to be the only problem I’ve come across.
