For most of my guitaring life, I’ve been mostly working on random songs, learning techniques on the fly, probably badly. I’ve been satisfied with this until recently. Now, I really feel the itch to put more structure into my practice; I want to train my fingers, do chord excercises, master those darn scales, really work on picking and strumming, etc.

However, I’m abroad, and for reasons that I won’t get into, the best way of going about this (getting a teacher) is not practical. Are there any good sites online for what I’m looking for? I’ve checked out a few, such as about.guitar and [guitarsecrets.com](http://guitarsecrets.com), but they leave me lacking.

Any tips?

Try this guy. Some cool stuff, and he explains things really well.

I heard about him on NPR.

Nice, that’s exactly the type of site I’m looking for. Grazie mille!
