# Any guesses on what kind of puppy this is?

[This puppy](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01250/kitten-puppies_1250035i.jpg), from [“A Cat’s Life”](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/uknews/4399218/A-Cats-Life-photographs-of-cute-cats-and-kittens-by-Jane-Burton.html?image=10) looks very much like a [puppy we fostered](http://picasaweb.google.com/raenjapan/ReindeerGames?authkey=vX0IVGs1AHA#5293655047193028482) (more photos if you click back through the album–she is seven weeks old now and just got adopted). I was just wondering if anyone could guess on the breed, because they look a lot alike.

[The mama dog](http://lh5.ggpht.com/_-5yydCIzUDo/SYeSBMy1bnI/AAAAAAAAC84/EMkZ_--MmtY/s720/DSC02687.JPG)is a mutt, about 16 lbs, and looks to me like she has some Jack Russell in her, so I know the pup isn’t a pure bred, but this might provide some insight into who the dad was.

I suspect a [King Charles Spaniel](http://images.google.com/images?q=king+charles+spaniel&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=MKiHSZLlJ5jqMIqJjd0H&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&resnum=4&ct=title) mix.

Which, for the record, does not invalidate **Caption Carrot’s** suspicion.

I’d go with the dad somewhere in the spaniel family too.
