Oddly enough, Garrison mentioned this class in a recent show. May have been just this past week’s. I forget the context, but I remember thinking, “That would be a fun class to audit or even to kibitz.” ---

Their last assignment was to write a stand-up routine, which my sister was all but unable to do (according to her). But that’s why she’s pass/failing it I guess. ---

A few months ago, I happened to be in the car when he revealed the origin of the name during a show at a Wisconsin college. The college is right next to [Prairie Home Cemetary](http://www.prairiehomecemetery.com/) . He gives a lovely history of how the founding of the cemetary was meant to help establish the town (many early settlers arranged for their bodies to be sent back east for burial), then proceeds to reveal that the cemetary now makes a lovely place for the college kids to make late-night treks with nubile co-eds, “which is where the Companion part comes in…” Guy Noir is OK, but it’s the ketchup bits that crack me up.
