I’ll do it! I’ve always wanted to go to a dopefest. I’ll be in D.C. with little to do this summer. I’ll be in Cali the last week of July, but any other time is fine. ---

I don’t mind driving downtown but I hate trying to park there (I get parking rage) – I live really close to the end of the Orange line, so I _love_ places/people/events that are Metro-accessible. August 5th is the proposed date, right? I’m in. 🙂 ---

F. U. Shakespeare and I exchanged E-mail a month or so ago about doing something to welcome him back to the U.S. after several months away. There was no resolution to that, so maybe this can be (among other things) his welcome-back get-together. I just did a search on his name, and I discovered there was a short-lived thread in which he asked about such a get-together, but it ended after three posts when someone said that we should do it later in the summer. ---
