# Any Interest in a Dixie Dopefest?

There was a mini-one in Atlanta last year that I had to miss for family reasons. Is there any plans or any precedent for south of the M-D-L Dopers? It could be held in Atlanta, Nashville, B’ham, or several other states.
Ideally it should be on the same day as Gettysdope, of course, and culminate in an unsuccessful but energetic attempt to crash their party.

We missed you in Atlanta last year as well; the restaurant was your suggestion, I think, and boy was it a good one! Great food and yummy cosmos. Oh, yeah, and I picked up a hot Doperguy there too!
I say we do Atlanta again, but we’ll make B’ham if we have to. When’s Gettysdope? Maybe we should keep to the theme and have ours at one of Sherman’s stops or something?
It’s crazy how different our lives can be a year later.

Instead of Sherman’s stops could it be near a MARTA stop?

If I remember my history correctly, Sherman stopped at Indian Creek to avoid that damned I-20 weekday traffic from Conyers on (which is why the siege took so long). When he finally got off at Peachtree Center (took several trains) the city fell.

I’m in. I always miss these things. I’ve been to one and only three people showed up. By god, that will not happen this year. I’m in the Ham, but I’ll gladly go to the ATL.
I vote for period dress and Gettysdope invasion. I’ll be warming my hoop skirt. I was in my hometown’s pilgrimage, after all.

I might could get to a Fest that’s relatively close to the Middle Tennessee area. Atlanta and such wouldn’t work.
I’d really love to finally go to a Dope Fest. I’m totally bookmarking this thread.

I’d be interested but can’t actually promise anything. Middle Tennessee would be better for me.
The Jack Daniel’s tour is great and it’s even free. No free Jack Daniel’s to drink though.

Ooh- Dopefest Above the Clouds. Fits perfectly with the bloody Civil War campaign ultimately resulting in southern defeat theme of Gettysdope too!
