Hey guys - wanted to let you know first of all that the name change is in. So hi again, I’m \*\*Rez \*\* no longer. My BIL lives in ATL and suggested cowtippers. I agree with \*\*swampbear \*\* - I would love an all adult night. For the love of pete, some face to face adult conversation may bring tears of joy! I really hope that doesn’t knock out \*\*Geobabe \*\* and fam. So, Cowtipper’s on August 12th? Finally, my birthday is August 1st - can’t believe I am missing out by 3 lousy days!! ---

Cowtipper’s August 12th sounds good to me. What say others? If we can agree on a place and time kinda early, we got time to really talk this up. Since it’s a Saturday, we could go for afternoonish if that’s what folks want even. Or do something first then meet for dinner/beverages. Or just meet up at Cowtipper’s. Whatever we decide I’m easy. Specially after a couple beers. 😃 ---

I should perhaps mention that Cowtippers has a largely gay clientele (i.e. that odd restaurant where gay customers outnumber gay waiters percentagewise). It’s not a gay bar or anything like (though there are some in walking distance) but the hamburgers are made only from lesbian Herefords and you really don’t want to know about the Head Waiter. (Price range incidentally is from $6 [hamburgers] to $22 [steak/seafood].) ---

I didn’t know they had non-gay bars in ATL??? Of course, I was one of the people that shed a tear the last night they did all night beer sales as Backstreet. ---

I’m definitely going to do my best to be there! Directions to wherever we’re meeting (and maybe nearby hotels) would be greatly appreciated. It has been years since I’ve been in Atlanta, and I didn’t drive while I lived there. I don’t know if I’m grown-up enough to drive in Atlanta. ---

Here is the website: [http://www.cowtippersatlanta.com/](http://www.cowtippersatlanta.com/) They have location information but if you are coming from out of town I don’t know how much the small map is going to help you - it does show I-85 so you can use that to get your bearings. Can we get a head count? The website said that they welcome large parties (groups up to 20) and wanted just a little warning. I am going to be driving from Birmingham and staying in the Druid Hills area. If there is anyone that needs to follow me or ride-share I’ll be happy to. I will be leaving Birmingham that morning to spend time with my BIL (who lives there) but you are welcome to ride and spend that time checking into a hotel and doing whatever if you don’t want to hang with a stranger and family (believe me, I understand). FRT - I smoke, so you would have to put up with that on the drive. Finally, _no one_ is old enough to drive in Atlanta. I don’t even know why I am acting like I know how to get around because crossing the city line I turn into a 3 year old that is lost. ---

Ummm… I may be (and deserve to be) beaten badly for this, but, dammit, I can’t do August 12th. Due to what I can only describe as functional illiteracy, I have discovered that I have a commitment for that night. See, when I first looked at the calendar, I thought it was the 19th, not the 12th. Da squeeze pointed this out to me this week. Hence the functional illiteracy. Here’s hoping this thing can still go off on the 12th, sans stoopid ignorant me. Or, if folks want to do it on the 19th, I could do that. ---
