As far as I know, he had all the kicking duties in the last few games. Not sure if Carney got officially cut or what. ---

I’m definitely happy with my draft. On my team I have: Packers QB Cowboys RB Patriots RB (lame, but hopefully Welker’s absence increases his role) Patriots WR Chargers WR Vikings WR Eagles TE Saints K Jets DEF That’s 8 different teams for my nine positions, all of whom (except Eagles TE) I expect to play at least two games. Five NFC guys and four AFC guys distributes the load allowing many to stay alive for a long time. Theory’s great. Now let’s see how it works in practice. ---

I think my roster is the strongest. I’m vulnerable to an early NO exit, but I think they’re the safest bet to go deep in the playoffs. Edit: I guess a weakness is that I have a lot of players who aren’t playing on wildcard weekend. Anyone playing now potentially has 4 games in them, whereas any players from the #1 or #2 seeds can only do 3 max. ---

I also like my team Romo LT Wells Miles Austin Anquan Boldin Steve Breaston Visanthe Shiancoe (I wanted Gates) Rackers Chargers D I expect the Cardinals and the Chargers to go deep in the playoffs and likely to the Super Bowl. I think Boldin will try to play some this week. I like Dallas to represent the NFC if the Cards slip up. I don’t see anyone stopping the Chargers in the AFC right now. ---

On balance, I’ve got to say SB has the best team on paper. That said, the Saints’ first round bye is going to hurt, especially if they don’t go all the way. ---

Agreed completely about the Chargers. I figured the Packers and Chargers were the two safest bets, so Aaron Rodgers and Vincent Jackson were high priority no-brainers. I see Minni, NO and Indi ousted in their first game. ---

I tried to give preference to teams playing this weekend, but no way was I going to devalue Jackson on that basis. He’s just too good, and San Diego is all pass all the time. ---
