Finally listened to the whole album, and I loved it. And then I realized I bought the censored version by mistake. DAMN IT!!! Oh well, now I have two.

Just got home from seeing her in concert in San Diego.

If possible, she’s even better live. The show was fantastic. The only disappointing part is that the relatively small venue (about 4,500) was probably not even two-thirds full.

Much of the material was from Dirty Computer, but there was also a decent amount from earlier albums. It was all fantastic, but I think my favorite performance of the night was Electric Lady. If you get a chance, see the show.

She just released a book based on the _Dirty Computer_ album, called _The Memory Librarian_. It’s Afrofuturist science fiction, made up of 5 short stories/novellas each cowritten with a different author. Reviews seem to be mixed, but as a fan of Janelle and sci-fi, I can’t imagine I’ll be disappointed. Has anyone read it yet?
