Or am I alone in the universe? šŸ˜› It took me forever to finish my first run-through of KoL as a Pastamancer. Now Iā€™ve been a Disco Bandit for one month and am ready to knock on the Naughty Sorceressā€™ door. Probably going to delay that a bit to meat farm and generally derp around. No hurry; the Sorceress isnā€™t going anywhere. Anyone else play? Itā€™s such a crazy game. šŸ™‚ ---

I still play:cool: There used to be a ā€œFriends of Cecilā€ clan but that went defunct a couple of years ago. Iā€™m in the Piglets of Fate clan now. It helps to be in a clan, you can get lots of advice from the members in chat, and use the equipment. Iā€™m sinjinerd on KOL. ---

Ditto the above. I wonder if itā€™d be advisable to suggest some of the challenge paths? Iā€™ve heard some people think itā€™s easier for new players to cut their teeth on, since the limitations means less juggling of stuff and optimizing. ---

I stopped about 3 years ago or more. I think I was in a small minority playing at that time. Iā€™ll put us under missed connections. I was in Friends of Cecil clan at the end. ---

I ran through sixty-some hardcore ascensions, then they nerfed sauce stasis and all my scripts and strategies broke. I stuck around for a while to accumulate a bunch of Hobopolis and Slime Tube gear and play the market, but ultimately lost interest. I do still check in on my clan every once in a while though. Itā€™s better than most games IMHO. ---

Zsofia, they just did a minor revamp on an area (the castle with the giants) and put a bunch of new content in The Sea. My stats arenā€™t high enough for me to go in The Sea unfortunately. Ah well. Thereā€™s always next ascension. šŸ™‚ I did finally join a clan, which has been very helpful. We do not fight other clans or do PvP, which is a huge relief. ---

The mention of Sea content sent me back in to check it out. For two hours. :smack: And PvP is instrumental in Hardcore. Give it a shot sometime. ---

I played it briefly, many years ago when it was still fairly new. I recall being amused at finding a helmet called ā€œAss Hatā€, a term that, up until that point I had only ever heard used on the SDMB. ---

I liked the humor and style, but I never could really get into it. I have that problem with games that only give you a certain number of moves/actions per day. If I want to spend 16 hours on it, then I want to spend 16 hours on it. If I donā€™t have time, I donā€™t want the days or weeks I couldnā€™t log on be ā€œwastedā€.
