# Any One Else Know Connie Smith

I was in a store today and they were playing the song “Cincinnati, Ohio,” and it was quite catchy. I went home and looked it up and found the artist was Connie Smith. She was quite before my time, but I was listening to her other stuff on YouTube.

So has anyone else heard of her? I don’t know if there are many country music fans

Her career peek was a before my time, but I remember seeing her on several Country music shows and The Grand Ole Opry a few years ago.

I only know her because I’m a big fan of her current husband - Marty Stuart. They first met back in the early 1970s when she was touring and he was something of a child mandolin prodigy with Lester Flatt.

Stuart was also formerly married to Johnny Cash’s daughter, Cindy, who once famously referred to him as a “good lookin’ porch ornament” 😃

Wow, I haven’t heard that song in years. I actually had been thinking about it a few weeks ago, when I heard _LA International Airport_ by Susan Rae. For some reason one song made me think of the other, but I never got around to looking it up. It was good to hear it again!
