As many of you may know, Sqrlcub and I are splitting up. The reasons are many and I really don’t want to go into them, but I am moving out this Saturday, Apr. 14 and was wondering if any Dopers in the DC area would be available to help me move. There aren’t a lot of big pieces of furniture – entertainment center and desk are the worst, chest of drawers, bookshelf, bed and dining room table and chairs. The rest is small stuff like lamps, boxes, etc. If any of you are willing or around, please let me know. I know this is short notice and the day before Easter, but any help I can get will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ---

Mark: I talked to my mother about it, and I’m not totally sure I’ll be able to make it. We’ve got plans with the exception of about an hour on Saturday, and I’m thinking she’ll want the hour to nap. However, I’ll keep talking to her about it. How long are you estimating it’ll take? ---

I’d help but can’t, my back is messed up bad enough as it is. I can’t take a chance on ending up bedridden for a couple days. I’ve already missed one day of work this month because I couldn’t stand up straight. ---

I’m picking the truck up at 9 a.m. in Shrilington but have to stop and get the bed on the way back. So anyone who can help can arrive between 10-10:30. I’ve sent each of you email with the phone number and address. If you need directions, etc. give me a call this evening. ---

I’m moving from Kentucky Ave. SE (Capital Hill area) to 13th St. NW (Columbia Heights area). Both are in the city.
