Any particular vocalists who annoy you?

Whoever that unfortunate poopyhead is who sings “We have got to get it to-geth-a, now.”
Reminding me of the Kermit-voiced Canned Heat singer.
Both bothersome.

Have you heard any of his non-falsetto records? I kinda dig his normal singing voice.

Speedy Keen of Thunderclap Newman? If so, the offending song is Something in the Air:

Thanks.
Even his name…

A major offender who should have been in my original list…

Nick Gelder er I mean Gilder, singer for a band called Sweeney Todd. Their big hit was “Rox-ee Ro-laaaaaa…” :cross_mark_button:

His big solo hit: “Hot Child in the City.”

In their Fleetwood Mac days, Christine McVie had a much more pleasant voice, imo, but Nicks was far and away the better songwriter.

Ah, I knew it looked wrong; I should have looked it up or something.

And thank you so much. I’ii be sure to keep your moder… instruction in mind.

If you mean the ones who sound like 5 year olds, then yeah. [Said style being an insult to actual gifted 5 year old singers]

Most of the others mentioned in this thread I’m OK with, but Roger Hodgson and Neil Young–I’ll take a pass. I did once think about buying Neil Young’s “On the Beach” because I liked the novel and the movies with that name, but I never did. Maybe I might have found that one more listenable.

I blame it all on one super singer who ruled Bollywood from the 40-50s to early 2000s. The high pitched falsetto is copied by many is jarring as hell. Its only recently that singers with different kinds of voices are being given airplay

With as many Indian friends as I’ve had and despite living in areas with huge Indian populations, this is the first time that I’ve heard that’s the reason for the style. To be fair, I never asked.

The timbre of his voice can be off-putting at times, but he was in fact a terrific singer.

Some “fringe” artists can be charming in their own way, but others can be just flat-out annoying.
The Del Rubio Triplets would fall under the latter category.
And Wing.

bob dylan.. i don’t care for his stolen lyrics, either.

That’s not helping my dislike for his voice. He sounds like a human Leslie speaker.

That’s a good description; but not a bad thing in my opinion.

If I can just quickly nip in here and say how Leslie speakers are the most goddamned fantastic things ever.
Sure, for instruments.
