Looks like the New Era is a return to the old HHH era. Guy can’t stand not being the star of the show. If his body wasn’t ravaged by the effects of PEDs he’d get back in the ring again, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does anyway. ---

Sigh… OK, maybe Cornette was right about Kenny Omega after all. He delivered a promo that made it sound like he could never wrestle again because any blow to his midsection would kill him. Then he calls out Okada and tells him he wants another match in two months, when he’s fully healed. Then Jack Perry brings in a chair and shoves it into Omega’s stomach. Oh, horrors. The Achilles Heel he just publicly announced. Then he’s taken away on a gurney and they stretch the angle over the beginning of Rampage, where he gets attacked while being loaded into the ambulance. I couldn’t watch any more because my IQ was plunging into the negatives. ---

I’m not sure I agree. Omega is doing a Babyface 101 angle. Nothing wrong about that, it just comes down to execution. And let’s be honest - AEW sucks at execution 10 out of 9 times. ---

Yes, the angle was nothing new, and it’s a way to write Omega off for another couple months. Dusty Rhodes did it all the time when he was touring the NWA territories. Omega doesn’t have that type of appeal. He’s always been the alpha heel and it’s hard to buy him as a victim. ---
