Total sales, TWOTfan, total sales. That’s what counts. Hers has been out longer that his, which would affect current standing.
I chose not to comment on the “aren’t big readers” thing. I changed my mind.
Yes, since this is GQ, I assume TWOTfan will be back with a cite for that “well accepted fact” any time now.
Isn’t there something about politics and GQ?
I know I read it somewhere.
You can READ ???!!!
It’s also a pretty well accepted fact that you’re so full of s*it that your eyes are brown.
See your cites for the relevant info. Oh, no cites? Then your post probably belongs in your ‘mail waiting to be sent’ folder, or your ‘stupid mindless dumbass ramblings’ folder.
I do it very well…
thankyouverymuch.
Well, since I only have Lackeys of Semi-Ironic Punishment and my cape has yet to come back from the dry cleaners, I’m stuck with being the Semi-Christ.
As for getting in touch with O’Reilly and calling him on his claim, I was going to do it this week, but he is on vacation until after the first of the year, so I have a while to wait, but I will e-mail him and see what happens.
Oh, sorry about the messed-up link.
There is no “sorry about the messed-up link”.
There is only pennance.
Let us know if you get an answer, please. (That’s your pennance.)

An O’reilly fan, are ya. Mr. no cite Bill, right. Old man spiiinnnn.
I’m trying to irritate AskNott into rethinking his/her deletion.
That’s to contrast with the fact that Republicans aren’t big thinkers.

Keep political swipes out of this forum.
Thank you.

665, I haven’t been able to find any proof of Mr. O’Reilly’s claim. In my search, however, I did note that on the latest New York Times BestSeller List, under nonfiction, two of the top fifteen books were associated with Republicans – Mr. O’Reilly’s and former First Lady Barbara Bush’s. Four others were by Al Franken, Michael Moore, Hillary Rodham Clinton, a Conservative Democrat (admittedly critical of current Democratic policies) and still a fifth was about the friendship between Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.
Easy, big fella. I had written a smoldering comment about O’Reilly’s fantasies of outselling all the Democrats. As Zoe points out, O’Reilly finds no comfort in reading the best seller lists. I was plenty irritated last night, and I almost posted something that didn’t belong in Gen. Questions. A fella can get cuffed around for that sort of thing.
Hmmmmmm… I wonder what sort of penance one might be required to do for misspelling penance…
Turn on a Gilbert & Sullivan CD and dress up as one of the Pirates of Pennance.
I think it speaks volumes that O’ Reilly would even make this accusation. How insecure can you get?
If he really wanted to make a more credible and eyebrow-raising claim, he could have suggested that all those copies of HRC’s book were bought by intelligent Republicans wanting to read the opposition with a critical eye.
