Any sci-fi about christian robots?

I read a novel called Code of the Lifemaker that kinda-sorta involves christian robots near the end.

I’d explain further, but it would kind of spoil the plot.

In *Red Dwarf *the mechanoids are programmed to beleive in Silicon Heaven, a place where the copier never jams and the laser printer never runs out of toner.

Urgh, no. Read it once, and I was gagging at the horrifically bad notions of “programming” by page three. The rest of the novel got worse from there.

Stay away!

And there’s a sequel to Code of the Lifemaker called The Immortality Option!

Roderick and Roderick at Random (or both as The Complete Roderick) by John Sladek feature a Candide-type robot who, I’m sure, considers religion and talks to a priest but doesn’t actually convert.
His book, Tik Tok, also has a similar robot who may also have religious conversations… it’s a long time since I read them.

I’ve definitely met some Christian robots, they tend to hang out here.

Well, this is one of mine about a creationist AI;

And this is a rather more eccentric robot religion;

Speaking of jewish robots, in an episode of “Futurama”, fry attends a Bot-Mitzvah for a jewish robot.

Barrington Bayley’s novel Soul of the Robot, while not specifically about a Christian robot, is probably relevant to this discussion …

John Morressy’s The Mansions of Space deals with Christian themes. I think there are robots in it but it’s been a while. A good book if you can find it.
