> You say that like it’s a bad thing. Umm, well, yeah, sort of. Also disorienting is how dead people come back to life after being killed off in a previous book. Once you get past that it’s clear sailing.
>
> Which book was it where Serge killed someone with napalm suntan lotion? And how abouit the guys he mummified alive?

_The Stingray Shuffle_, I think. Because I remember it happening. These college kids got drunk and trashed an antique train, and he tied them up and smeared then with tanning lotion until they shriveled up.

The napalm suntan lotion was in **Hammerhead Ranch Motel**. That’s also the one with Mrs. Ploomfield and the cocaine men. And Boris the Hateful Piece of A-OOGA!

> Are there any other authors one would recommend to a fan of Dorsey, Hiassen, Barry, and Christopher Moore? I’ve run out of their books, but would like more in a similar genre. Brian Wiprud is good and he’s got one or two I haven’t read, as is Bill Fitzhugh, but neither of them are ever in the bookstores for an impulse buy.

Randy Wayne White writes about Florida, if that’s what you’re looking for. His main character, Doc Ford, is a former spook/marine biologist whose best friend is a pot-smokin’ hippy. Great books!

Serge is the most imaginative killer ever. Makes kind of afraid of Tim Dorsey.😛

Which still puts 85% of Florida in danger! 😃

You are being generous, **silenus** , although you may be factoring in that the Jersey Shore cast just left.

Why do I know this? Because for some reason, local morning programing thinks this is news, and gives it as much airtime as they do our broke and broken government. But I digress…

I have the same problem. I’ve read all of their books and it seems like a constant search for the next book with the same twisted humor.

Bill Fitzhugh is pretty good. I would recommend Jasper Fforde if you haven’t read any of his. Not quite the same type of humor, but totally out of the box thinking with his writing.

I tried a couple of Thursday Next novels, but was somewhat non-thrilled as they were all about Jane Austen and you couldn’t pay me enough to read a Jane Austen novel.\*

\*That’s an exaggeration. I am for sale, and I come pretty cheap.
