# Any tips for someone soon to \[re-\]take the 70-270 Microsoft Exam?

I _just_ failed it the first time. (670. Passing score is 700). I am relatively new to IT (I am good with computers and have programming abilities, but I have only recently begun to learn _‘proper’_ IT skills.) I also accept that I didn’t cram enough (I genuinely thought the test would be easier than it was).
Anyone else took it and passed? Any tips?
I’d like to be able to actually **do** all the stuff that’s relevant to it (unattented installations, RIS installations, GPO maintenance and creation, stuff like that) but I work in a small company where a lot of the stuff in the 70-270 doesn’t apply (except that all the workstations bar 3 run XP Pro)

I guess You all thought I wouldn’t need any tips, because I passed the second time.
Now on to more advanced courses. Not sure which yet.
