If I were to let someone else take a look at my Ipod, there might be some items that I would prefer not be perused. Is there any way to “hide” items?

I suppose it depends who is looking (your mum or the FBI). The simplest way to hide something is to rename it (e.g. “bouncing big ones” to “philosophy lecture”). The next step up is to encrypt it, but of course your ipod cant play it (though could carry it and be retrieved).

I dont think it is possible to hide a folder or file in an ipod that couldn’t be found by browsing on a computer.

There are privacy Apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

I don’t know of any, but you might want to try this guy’s [solution](http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=127281).

Just got my iPhone, and I’m thinking the best way if it exists would be to have an app icon that allows you to put apps within that, but make the first app button encrypted or password protected somehow.

Developers: your turn.
