Polls would be nice, but they eat up server resources like crazy. I don’t think they want to enable polls. ---

I am unaware that polls cause any problem with “resources”, and it has not been my experience when I had a very weak server (and still have little bandwidth). I can find one thread on the developer’s site where a person asks if disbling polls will improve performance, and the staff say instead ending thread ratings would, and do not mention polling. ---

I recall reading someplace a while back about disabling forum polls, as they could cause heavy server loading if used frequently. This was some time ago, and my memory of the details is a bit fuzzy. It might not have been vBulletin specific, or may have referred to older versions. I’ll defer to your experience in this regard, of course. 🙂 ---

No, don’t defer to mine - with vBulletin 3.x I am treading outside of my experience anyhow, since I’m still (mostly) on 2. I just wondered if you’d seen something.
