So many reasons why it could have gone down that way. My hypothesis: the match only existed to sell the video game and Goldberg has never been able to work and probably wasn’t willing to reacquaint himself with the concept of working a match after 12 years. ---

I’m all for that, assuming Goldberg is ready to actually have matches. Having Goldberg squash Brock is cool if there’s more to come, but if he’s going to headline Wrestlemania or something, maybe compete for a title, he’s got to be able to do a real match. ---

Well, _that_ was… a thing that happened. I wish they’d given a full-time performer that kind of rub from Brock Lesnar, but really, the only person remotely ready for that sort of rub would be, say… Shinsuke Nakamura. And I wouldn’t even give it to him until he spent a few months on the main roster. Anyway, this was _still_ a better match than Goldberg v. Lesnar at WM20. ---

That’s an audible they probably should have called for WM20. Would have been over before the fans had time to really hate on it. I read that Goldberg hurt his shoulder? That might have been the reason for this, and I’m hearing the “real” match will be at Royal Rumble. ---
